Governors
Letter from the Chair
At Dewhurst St Mary Primary School our Headteacher and staff work in close partnership with our students and their parents so that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential in a happy, secure and disciplined environment.
Our staff are experienced, enthusiastic and committed to providing the highest standard of education within the context of Christian beliefs and values. The school is also friendly and welcoming which gives all our children the opportunity to grow, develop and mature for life after primary education.
As an inclusive school, we respect and value the diversity of the community that we serve and we are committed to ensuring equality of access to all. We have an accessibility plan (available from the school office) which is aimed at promoting equality of opportunity in every aspect of life for all pupils, parents and staff.
I very much hope that something of the quality of Dewhurst St Mary, its emphasis on high standards, its rich extra-curricular programme, its well disciplined environment and its care for all pupils will be apparent from this website.
You may have already chosen Dewhurst St. Mary for your child’s education OR you could be perusing this website to aid your decision making; either way, we hope that you find this an informative and useful site.
We are always keen to improve our website so that it provides the information that you, as parents and prospective parents, will find valuable. Please take a look around and let us know if there are any changes you would like to see.
Email the school at admin@dewhurst.herts.sch.uk and let us know – we’ll see what we can do.
Please Telephone the school office on 01992 624177 if you wish to make an appointment and see the school in action.
With very best wishes
Chris Robinson
